Fett's Bounty HuntersThis small, domed building is very quiet. Inside is quite dark. On your left you can see a panel, glassy in appearence and apparently transparent. Behind it, there are a series of glowing lights, like fire flies, but all different colours. The lights continue to wink at you. At the far end, there is a noticeboard. Currently it is empty. On the right, there is a large desk. The desk has pieces of paper scattered all over it, most in a script that you cannot read. There is a clipboard here, with a couple of names and contact details. The clipboard is titled "Conscription". There is also a folder, open on the table with pieces of paper scattered around it, marked the History of the FBH. You glance at the synopsis: Timeline of the FBH The timeline of the FBH is a little confused. Time runs at different speeds on different planes. Stormthirst thinks he is about 200, with Drak and LundQvist being several years younger. Again this is difficult to tell, and even after 3 years on this plane we seem unable to get a fix of our exact ages and so on. Consequently the timeline is based on Erdejan time. It maybe a useful exercise to decide where your character joined the FBH on this timeline. One of the things that makes a character interesting is having history. What makes a player boring is the player recounting it in an out of character situation you have been warned! 925(ish) AF Stormthirst and subsequently Lunqvist and Drak meet Fett, who start the FBH. Many adventures ensue, which Fett recorded and Stormthirst is currently translating. Help is required, please apply to Stormthirst. Over the coming years many of the current members of the FBH join. 1098 AF The FBH are contracted to track down and capture Jezzek Taal. After a series of transport circle traces and hops, his location is discovered. The FBH get to a remote Ritual circle, which is still crackling with energy. Sane begins to do the plane shift. Suddenly the ritual circle explodes with no warning, instantly killing at least 50 members of the FBH, and fatally wounding Sane. Stormthirst decides he cant wait as Jezzek is getting away, and does the ritual himself. It goes wrong again, and the FBH find themselves scattered across Erderja. Stormthirst finds himself on Bears lands, and in accordance with FBH tradition swears allegiance to the Bears. 1099 AF A number of the FBH have gathered together, including Sane (who isnt) Kay the Head Healer, Sotue, Pabaal (couldnt we have lost this one?) and Head Mage Toranaga. Stormthirst takes command of the Bears second army of the South 1100 AF LundQvist is killed, but he got better. The FBH are ordered to start wearing tartan. Stormthirst is made First Master Ranger in the Convocation of Druids, and a Ri-Thane of the Armies of the North. Drak is made Thane of the First Army of the North. There is also a list on the wall of traditions that the FBh follow: The traditions of the FBH
That every member of the FBH is to follow the designated First Second and Third in Command without question. And that Standing Orders must be followed as if they are direct orders from the First in Command. Only the First in Command of the FBH is to make or change standing orders. That each member of the FBH should share a minimum of half his or her income with the FBH to be deposited in the Bank of the First in Command's choice. The third in command is in charge of collection of said funds, though he may deputise someone in order to assist in this duty. That each member of the FBH should assist any other member without question. It is up to the individual how best that should be attained That each member of the FBH has the right to challenge the authority within the FBH, once per year cycle on the plane that the FBH find themselves. If there is no year cycle on that plane, then the First in Command should decide upon an arbitrary time cycle, approximating a year. It should be at a time when no member(s) of the FBH is in direct threat. That the tradition of succession follows three tests: Firstly a trial of combat Secondly a question and answer test on the plane that the FBH are on Finally on the traditions of the FBH. There are several reasons that the challenge is conducted this way. Mainly a person only capable of combat should not necessarily rule the FBH. They must be able to use their knowledge of the FBH and the plane that they are on in order to rule the FBH in an effective manner. Either person in the challenge may withdraw from a one or all of the tests at any time. The knowledge tests are to be set by the first in command, unless the first in command is being challenged, in which case this duty falls to the second in command. It should also be noted that if someone wants to change this or any other tradition, he or she must become the First in Command of the Fett's Bounty Hunters.
There are a number of minor traditions, but they seem pretty boring. |
